Javier & Sarah Tejada

Javier and Sarah Tejada serve as full time missionaries in Roatan, Honduras. Their desire as missionaries is to serve others so that God may be known and worshipped in truth.


Javier is a native of Roatán with a background in computer science as well as a career as a seafarer. Under the discipleship of church leaders, Javier discerned a call to full time ministry. Javier is passionate about building up the local body of Christ and being a servant to others. He now uses his gifts in leadership, construction, photography/videography, and media to serve New Hope Church and Legacy Center Oak Ridge.

Sarah is originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama with a university background in Human Development & Family Studies and Spanish. Sarah discerned her call to ministry through short term missions in Central America. She is passionate about teaching God's word and providing support for individuals who have endured trauma. She is the director of Roatán Advocacy Center for Women, a ministry that aims to provide essential support to women on
the island.
