Justin & Danielle Fisher
Missionary
Candidates

Justin and Danielle Fisher are both from the southeast Missouri area. Justin has served as a full-time worship pastor for the past 7 years. Danielle has worked in corporate America for the last 5 years, but before she started with Edward Jones, she taught elementary school for 5 years. In 2020, Danielle left St. Louis to go back to her hometown to work while the pandemic had the office closed. Little did she know she wouldn’t return to St. Louis. Justin and her met, dated and were married and the end of 2020 and live in Cape Girardeau.

Although Danielle’s full-time job has been outside of ministry the last few years, she has been involved alongside Justin at the church and has many years of other ministry experience including domestic and international missions. In March of 2022 after serving on a mission trip in Atlanta together, they felt God stirring in their heart. Through much prayer and two trips to Roatan, God confirmed He was calling them to be full-time missionaries there.  They both believe serving alongside Legacy is a place where both their passions can collide while serving God together and following His will.

Aside from joining forces with everything Legacy is already a part of, Justin will serve as worship leader for New Hope Church. He will work with the existing members of the worship/tech/sound crew. Also, he will empower new worship, audio & technology teammates. Danielle will partner with Justin on the worship team as well as work at the community center. She will be able to utilize the literacy program she helped to create to work closely with students to increase their reading skills. Both Justin & Danielle will also be leading teams that travel down to serve with Legacy.

Although they are only dreams as of now, in the future, Justin and Danielle hope to help facilitate an intern program to allow young adults the opportunity to serve in country for an extended period of time. In the states, Justin and Danielle served with a college age ministry and they have grown to love and see the impact this age group can have. Ideally, interns would have the ability to serve for a few months at a time to get a feel for working full-time on the mission field. Justin and Danielle would also spend this time discipling the interns to help them navigate what they are going through and deepening their walk with Christ, while hopefully modeling something they could reproduce with someone they build a relationship with. The Fisher’s also have a heart burdened for children in crisis. They know the Lord is pulling them in a direction to foster, but their dream is to follow God’s lead to make a greater impact in the community for children in need of a safe home.

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace
