Roatán Advocacy Center
for Women

Sad on Couch

The Roatan Advocacy Center for Women is a ministry for women and girls who have experienced abuse or are at risk of experiencing abuse. This initiative aims to provide and/or connect women and girls to the resources they need. The heart behind this ministry is to honor God and His people through showing compassion to the vulnerable around us, and teaching others according to His Word. The RAC currently offers job skills training courses, mental health counseling, youth mentorship, and legal advocacy. These initiatives are possible through the collaboration of Honduran female professionals who dedicate their time to empowering women and girls. Originally from the United States, Sarah Ellis (Tejada) is the current director of the RAC, overseeing the various programs within the center. For more information, please contact Sarah Ellis at sarah.ellis@legacymissionintl.org.
